Wage and Benefits:
JOB SUMMARY: Inspects, washes, folds, and stores all laundered supplies for Rooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Provides clean linen for guest rooms.
• Separates linen according to classification, fabric and color.
• Counts all soiled linen and records the totals.
• Operates washers and dryers pursuant to established procedures.
• Loads and unloads washers and dryers.
• Sorts stained linen for soaking and rewashing.
• Folds, stacks, hangs and stores all laundered linen.
• Separates, counts and discards damaged linen.
• Records discarded linen in discard file.
• Cleans dryer filters as scheduled.
• Keeps supplies and storage area orderly at all times.
• Cleans all equipment and work area daily.
• Maintains par stock of laundry and cleaning supplies and informs manager of supplies needed.
• Reports any hazardous conditions or malfunctions of equipment to Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Turns in lost and found items.
• Complete all assign tasks on checklist and complete walkthrough with Manager to ensure all tasks were completed on said employee’s checklist before employee clocks out.
• Performs other related and unrelated tasks as assigned by management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
• Environmental Conditions
o 95% Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
o 5% Outside: No protection from weather conditions during property walks and inspections.
• Essential Skills
o Knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures.
o Ability to maintain records and communicate effectively with other team members and management.
• Educational/Vocational Preparation
o High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
o Ability to follow schedule and ability to perform physical labor.
